Yeah, it might just be a reference to the fact that it’s an old song and maybe she’s not familiar with it, but who knows. Now that the alternate meaning was pointed out, though, I’m questioning my original interpretation. After all, there is precedent for people in the media openly saying stuff like that about young Asian Olympic athletes. (CW: radio host making disgusting sexual comments about an underaged girl)

His whole “joke” was pretty shitty, regardless.
