Everyone he hangs out with are trots and he’s written for trot papers his whole life and he says the things the trots all say.

It’s a matter of association. He’s never said it himself, in fact he’s kept his specific position within the left very close to his chest and that’s probably very right to do if you’re a leftist actually aiming to get electoral things done. But you can make some inferences from who he’s always with, what he always contributes to and the kinds of hint drops he has always done. He hangs with all the British trots and Brit trots are quite a large group within the UK electoral left within the labour party.

Not big enough of course and they’re actively getting purged one by one now though.

Everyone knows Corbyn’s much further left than his political position for the elections were. Socdem policy was what he took up as the “furthest viable left” position that could possibly succeed in the UK electoral politics when you’re actually genuinely aiming to win but they don’t represent his actual position at all.
