If you’re using Steam is nearly perfect, less than one game out of twenty gives me problems. If you normally sail the high seas for your games things get a lot trickier. With a little tinkering I get get maybe 70% of my cracked games working.

You should be able to add the cracked games to Steam as a non-Steam game and then use Proton to run it.

I’ve tried that a bunch but can never get it to work. I did get proton working with Lutris though so upped the amount of games that work by a bunch. Still can’t get Horizon Zero Dawn working for some reason though.
