Especially once South Park started to lean heavily into social commentary. It doesn’t help that a lot of dumbasses shaped a significant part of their world views based on it.

they did an episode like, 5ish years ago where manbearpig was real and they were like “sorry, we were wrong, lol”. it was okay.
