The thing is, it seems to me like it’s also extremely common to do that kind of roleplay. dd/lg stuff (which frankly grosses me out) is practically mainstream. Some people don’t even ask before springing that on you, like I’ve literally had girls call me “daddy” and I’m still a virgin! I don’t really know how to interpret that aside from feeling that an absolutely massive number of people enjoy roleplaying incest between a child and their parent. Unless I’m missing something massive about that
parents often call each other by the nomenclature their children are expected to use, so as not to confuse young children. young girl then grows up having heard her mother refer to her father as daddy. her parents had loving relationship, she wants loving relationship, she feels good refering to significant other as daddy, not because of the illicit relationship implications, but because of the standard set for what a loving relationship looks like.
