ok so people are complaining about not being able to harass trans people. also lets look into what the victim alleges in this 10,000 suit:
This was filed on behalf of Clinch by the Human Rights Campaign. Here’s some nuggets of info:
The HRC had received a complaint from the applicant that has no date but was said by the HRC to have been received on 31 August 2018. The complaint is that the respondent has vilified and victimised the applicant in respect of her gender identity. It also identified a group, namely transgender people, who identify as female, as having been vilified. It was common ground that the applicant identified as a transgender person. She described herself as a transwoman.
Aight. So it was found that she was being villified. Next:
This complaint arose after an earlier complaint. There had been earlier Tribunal proceedings of a similar kind that had resulted in a mediated settlement. The agreement was that the respondent would make an apology in a form of words that were agreed. This was as follows: I apologise for any hurt I have caused Bridget and for any way I have vilified or victimised her.
So, she repeatedly harassed Clinch despite a legally binding court agreement that she would not do that.
After this occurred the applicant brought further proceedings in the civil dispute section of the tribunal for breach of the agreement but that was discontinued.
The civil dispute was discontinued until she did it again by continually harassing Clinch.
It is unlawful for a person to incite hatred toward, revulsion of, serious contempt for, or severe ridicule of a person or group of people on the ground of any of the following, other than in private.
So it is ok to be hateful in your own home, but if you are in a public setting, you can’t just incite hatred towards a protected class. And there are some specific stipulations mentioned thereafter.
They then go on to describe the various pieces of evidence. There were 52 such cases of harassment. There are pieces of evidence described as ‘incitement of violence against an individual or group.’ So, there you have it. Stupidpol people aren’t looking into headlines at all and are immediately jumping on the anti-trans bandwagon against a trans woman that repeatedly asked a cis woman to stop harassing her and had a legal cease and desist order. This cis woman had all of her legal expenses paid for by a right-wing gofundme and got away with inciting violence against a trans woman. At least the trans woman got some 10k away from some right wing idiots that paid that cis woman’s legal fees. Cool stuff.
