A lot of people here talking about product advertising who need to consider the implications of this upon political advertising.
If you want to agitate against this I strongly recommend you bring up to your local chud how Hillary and the Democrats would have used this technology, while bringing up to your local liberal how Russian dark money could easily fund ads to use as part of their evil authoritarian mind control machine.
It’s going to be a lot more banal than that though - companies will use this technology to target people who fall asleep to YouTube/Hulu and other platforms- accelerometers in a smart watch/phone will determine when a user is about to slip into sleep while Google bundles up this ad cohort data and sells it to companies that create ads to take advantage of this.
On the flip side, pumping :hillary-apartment: into CHUDs’ dreams might be extremely funny.
