Honestly surprised that hexbear hasn’t made a bookwyrm instance yet. It would help keep track of all that theory we’re supposed to be reading.

It’s more of a diy book review kind of situation. The creator sees it kind of like other fedi apps where you value more what friends say about a thing.
I’d imagine the books federate based on their ISBN and it looks like they pull data from OpenLibrary.
