Like Brazillian elections have a runoff system in which, if no candidate in a executive branch election got half of the votes, there is a second vote with only the two most voted candidates and we have go and vote again, so with this latest election polling from Datafolha (pretty much the most traditional polling company in brazil) is on the margin of error to get half (±2%) and still absolutelly destroys bolsonaro in the second round, these are pretty good numbers and brazillian polling tends to be correct quite often because it is a pretty simple system and don’t have to account for whatever the fuck an “electoral college” is, anyway pretty fun stuff, bolsonaro called off his facebook livestream yesterday because this had just come out and he felt the heat for sure

Everything to do with the USA’s own Imperial Backyard. From hispanics to the originary peoples of the americas to the diasporas, South America to Central America, to the Caribbean to North America (yes, we’re also there).

Post memes, art, articles, questions, anything you’d like as long as it’s about Latin America. Try to tag your posts with the language used, check the tags used above for reference (and don’t forget to put some lime and salt to it).

Here’s a handy resource to understand some of the many, many colloquialisms we like to use across the region.

“But what about that latin american kid I’ve met in college who said that all the left has ever done in latin america has been bad?”
