Imagine you live in the US and you have dual citizenship: American/Canadian. You have a job that allows travel. Considering the Christofascism that’s coming…

  • When would you move to Canada?

  • If you stayed in the US - when might you realize you waited far too long and you had a “Oh, fuck - I’m the frog” moment?

I want to stay in the US and I live in a super-blue county in a blue state. But I don’t want to become the frog. I have such dual citizenship and moving is doable for me provided I plan as far ahead as possible. I don’t expect Canada to be nirvana but I fear the worst for the US.

The Maritimes probably have the lowest cost of living, but winters are a huge snowdump and you get the occasional hurricane. Central Canada is getting yikes on politics, Albeta/sask are rightoid pits, manitoba is a swamp, BC is nice but extremely expensive, the territories are probably out of the question but the Yukon is nice but insanely expensive.

Yukon

Without googling - I can’t name a single city in that province territory.

yikes on politics

I have to focus on that too. So I have at least three things on my mind now on my very short incomplete list: politics, price, and weather.

Uh, Yellowknife, I think.

Edit: Nope, fuck. That’s Northwest Territories. Whitehorse is the capital of Yukon Territory.

Edit 2: Holy shit :lmayo:

Edit 3: Jesus Christ, they named a mining town after a fucking card game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faro,_Yukon

There aren’t any cities in Yukon. Some mid sized towns but that’s about it. It is truly wild territory.
