I really don’t like when people do that. Like when you spend enough time with cats (docile ones) you start to recognize a clear difference between attention/food seeking behavior and affection for the sake of affection.
Also when people go like, oh that cat acts just like a dog. No, the cat is behaving like a cat does when it likes you, which is an alien experience to some people, which is maybe worth reflecting on.
