She was wrongfully sentenced. The amount she had on her would give her 15 days in jail. She had no intent to distribute. 9 years for a gram of hashish… come on
If the sentence for under 2 grams of hashish is 15 days in prison or a fine, does it make sense to detain someone for 5 months conspiring to distribute weed? I think its pretty clear here that she is a political prisoner. Would the US do the same thing? Yes most likely, but it still sucks that someone who at most should have been fined is getting sentenced to 9 years
