Yeah the whole amphibious invasion would be impossible crowd needs to realize that China can strike the whole of Taiwan with artillery from the main land coast.

One of the comments in that thread said “China couldn’t launch an amphibious assault, they could only level Taiwan with bombs”. Like wtf do you think China is going to do after bombing them?

In one of my Chinese classes I learned the term dandao daodan 彈道導彈: ballistic missile. Quite a tongue twister!

It’s absolutely insane to claim that China doesn’t have the military capability to execute either an amphibious invasion, carpet the island with ICBMs, or both at the same. But why would China ever do something like that and have the entire international community turn on them when they can just opt for cold war proxy brinkmanship instead?

where do people even get this idea from? China literally has the largest navy in the world and they think china wouldnt be able to figure out how to put infantry and tanks on boats?
