Same. I made the mistake so many times of trusting that an edgy creator had something more substantial under the surface. For Natalie, I was wrong. For everyone proceeding her, I was right, just not in the way I was hoping

tbh i think her older videos were decent / more insightful. there’s an inverse correlation between the production quality of her videos and the actual quality of the essay part of video essay.

Yeah I agree. She said a while back that she mostly enjoys the costume and set design at this point. Which is fine. She’s clearly quite good at it and essentially amalgamated the Breadtube™ style. The essays have just gotten increasingly insufferable
