Anybody know why there’s such a big difference?

a lot of the time religious differences will follow class differences for example in the UK the majority of Christians are Catholic but Catholics tend to be poor, working class and often immigrants, whereas protestants are more likely to be members of the bourgoise.

Without looking it up it’s very likely that in Brazil Catholics are poorer on average than Evangelicals who are wealthy immigrants from America so have different class interests
