I hope so too. I would love to see an alternate reality Italy where operation Gladio never happened. Socialism is such a good fit for Italian culture honestly, and Italian socialists and communists fought (and still fight) so hard against the reactionary powers within Italy. Being the seat of the Catholic Church for so long doesn’t help them at all though, and these fascists are just riding the wave of worldwide discontent with a failing neoliberal world older.
