I can’t get in to how or why I saw this, but I just read a piece from a 10th grader explaining that in the American Revolutionary War, we fought the British because they were trying to make us communists.

Idk, man. I think 16 year olds are a decidedly mixed bag. Yeah, there’s a bunch of stuff they don’t know or have been woefully misinformed over. But they also have some relatively fresh, naive takes that bring the kind of optimism leftists really could use.
There’s a joke among math majors that all your best work is done before you turn 30. When you’re still mentally flexible and curious and unbound by routine, you can often see things that The Olds can’t.
16 is peak exploration territory. Older people (left, right, and center) get pissed off at you when you challenge their dogmas. But challenging the dogma is the only real way to make progress.
