The health issues and deaths caused by smoking are beyond doubt.
Caffeine might be addictive but its not harmful
What? That is absolutely not true. There’s no good evidence that coffee is even bad for your health.
Is there evidence that nicotine is worse for your health than caffeine?
Last time I checked it was all the other added shit that makes cigarettes bad, but under communism why would we keep adding all that shit to tobacco?
Even if we’re talking about just nicotine, and not cigarettes, yes it’s worse for you than caffeine. And this is coming from someone that does not use either nicotine or caffeine.
It has adverse effects on all your organs, including stuff like peptic ulcers in the digestive tract and increasing the risk of various cancers, it effects insulin resistance increasing the risk for diabeties, can permanently lower impulse control and nicotine reduces the amount of osteoblasts (bone producing cells) in the human body, making bones more fragile and less prone to healing. Nicotine as a standalone chemical was used as a pesticide and insecticide in the past. Just because cigarettes are loaded with tonnes of other chemicals, it doesn’t mean that nicotine is less harmful on it’s own.
Does coffee cause lung and bone cancer and have the ability to harm people though second and third hand exposure and make them ill too?
The main problem with cigarettes is not the harm they cause to the person uses them (though that is a problem, it’s a personal one for smokers to figure out), it’s their ability to harm the environment and people around them.
I have lots of friends that smoke, and I can’t even talk with them while they smoke because the second hand smoke is so bad that it makes my throat sore for days afterwards. I can’t even get in their cars at times, even if they’re not smoking, because of the smell and chemical build up (I think that’s called third hand smoke).
I don’t agree with banning cigarettes but you cannot compare it to coffee. And I don’t even drink coffee either.
