I recently posted a thread saying The Wire hbo tv series was not to my tastes and that while I recognize it’s artistic merit towards the television medium, i found it boring and slow and preferred shows like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad.

Ugh, I completely understand where you’re coming from with the elitist attitudes on Reddit. It’s so annoying when people act like they’re better than others because they enjoy a certain TV show or movie. Just because something is considered to be highbrow doesn’t mean that everyone has to like it. To be honst, I’m not a huge fan of The Wire myself. I found it really slow and kind of boring, even though I can see why some people might appriciate its artistic merit. Diffrent people have diffrent tastes, right? It’s important to remember that it’s okay to have diffrent opinions and not to belittle someone for not enjoying something that others might consider a masterpiece
