please stop posting “not all men” oneliners. we all know there’s tons of men out there who aren’t like that, but there’s a reason we all know countless stories like this as well, it’s a systemic issue that lots and lots of men think they need to do dumb, self-destructive steve-o shit to be masculine and the only way to change that and save men from the constant societal pressure to harm themselves in approved masculine ways is to call it out and deny this toxic bs to be the hegemonial form of masculinity.

If you take personal offense to statements about men generally, I’d encourage you to ask yourself why. There are many legitimate reasons to complain about the harmful effects of patriarchy and toxic masculinity. If you’re a masc person who actively self-critiques and supports women’s liberation with your full chest, there’s no need to be personally offended by such criticism, it’s not intended in any way to be an attack on individuals.
