there are a LOT of weird similarities between AI art and dream imagery. makes me think we tapped into some fundamental brain process.

when neural network art first started showing up in pop culture in the early 2010s I remember a lot of the websites being marketed as “deep dreaming” generators too. Also the fundamentals of neural networks were invented in the 1950s to imitate (in an oversimplified way) how neurons process signals.
