In a better world R&M would have ended years ago and Venture Bros would still be getting new seasons
That’s a really good comparison. Everyone in Venture Brothers was either pathetic or an asshole or both, but it had a very humanistic quality. Like there was a lot of pathos in the mix.
Whereas Rick and Morty is just one of the meanest, most misanthropic, nihilistic shows I’ve ever seen. Just constantly mocking people for feeling or caring about anything.
That and Moral Oral wouldn’t have gotten canceled for the last season not being funny
