Seriously. I don’t want your opinion or your “expertise” or anything. Keep your experiences and feelings to yourself.

Let me live my life. If I want advice or help, I’ll ask people I trust.

This applies to actual boomers and online boomers, and also to people who have a boomer mindset.

This is why I’ll never have a meaningful relationship with my grandparents

Why is it so hard to treat someone as an equal? Like, I’m doing everything I can to live a fulfilling life, and their advice is to stop following my dreams to follow theirs instead because they think I’d be wealthier one day

My grandma always says “things are relative, in my day…” when I complain about how hard things are getting. Thing is that my gran is silent generation and not boomer, and grew up on a rural farm during the depression, so she’s not really wrong.

I don’t mind grandparents that much cuz mine are really old and their advice is easy to ignore. The worst are just older people who aren’t that old yet that you can just blame it on them being old.
