Have you ever used windows and thought “this is too easy. I wish I had to Google how to install photoshop?”
Linux gives you that experience at the small price of making nerds happy.
For me it’s more like the base system is so much more functional than Windows that the few things I have to find a guide for take up much less of my time. I don’t have to spend any time disabling telemetry or downloading drivers.
