It’s actually not politically beneficial at this point. I don’t want to whistle past the graveyard, but general acceptance if queer people seems pretty well solid at this point. Like most people just don’t give a shit anymore, we’re their family members and children it’s not important.

If LGBTQ people get rights, then they lose a scapegoat which then makes it harder to fearmonger to distract from their shitty policies and overt corruption.
