The hippies did change the world permanently. The stereotype of the college professor used to be a stodgy old conservative with a sportscoat and patches on the elbows. Today’s professor has a ponytail and is adjacent to Marxism. Change happens, it just doesn’t happen as fast as people would like. It does happen, though, and it is irreversible.
