im (relatively) cis hetero dude and I’ve always been fascinated by flowers. something about the symmetry and weird numerology of the pedal structures fascinated me as a kid and still does. plus they smell fucking dope and help bees. whats not to like?

Exactly. I don’t really buy flowers because they’re rarely sustainable and often come from places with terrible labour practices, but if I can pick a few I’ve grown I love having them around the house.

It’s also just so stupid that even with partners who reject that traditional gender roles shit they’ve still obviously never felt comfortable that it wouldn’t be belittling or I’d be offended or something. Obviously I know it’s not particularly important, but it’s just a neat little example of how our messed up pathologies run deep.
