I mean, yes. But also, I can point you to the corner of my kitchen that we dedicated to excess paper and plastic bags that would build up over a month. It is significantly larger than the cubby for my reusable bags.

At some level, divesting of disposable bags is just better for your own life. Getting rid of them won’t Save The Planet. But its notable how capitalist modes of trash production have a direct impact on your personal life, and how getting away from them can have an immediate improvement in your own living quality.
