Right now I use a pretty nice antiperspirant with scents I really like, but they have aluminum. Anyone noticed any benefits to switching to something natural? My only pause is that, naturally, im a p sweaty person. I’ve heard the body will adjust in a few weeks though.

I guess like…aside from not putting aluminum into my body via my pits, any other good benefits of natural stuff? Or is it just like an “eh, find what works and stick with it” thing?

i’ve never heard anything that wasn’t woo BS for what’s wrong with aluminum. like if you have kidney failure it might cause a problem but beyond that its homeopathic sales pitches

:deng-cowboy: aluminum is natural too it came out the ground don’t it?

Not exactly, it came out in Al2O3 form and took a lot of energy to melt and refine out. There are no aluminum-based compounds that I know of that animals have metabolic pathways for or are otherwise equipped to handle.

I’m not a biochemist though so I don’t know whether there are any hazardous implications of this.

Skin doc told me if you have a predisposition for skin cancer it can increase chances, but not sure much else.
