Just admit to yourself that you left the rice on for too long or whatever and that it’s going to take some real scrubbing to get it clean again. It’s okay, I’m here for you. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to solving it.
I’m a grade A slob, but I’ve never understood people who leave dishes to soak for days on end. The thought of having a basin of still water in my house full of food bits? Couldn’t do it.
I remember when I was a kid I went with my mom to a family friend’s house. And their dog had shit on the floor. In a corner, out of the way, but still, dogshit on the floor. On carpet. We were there for hours and no one cleaned it up. The family even joked with each other about which one of them would eventually clean it up. I’m still confused about it. For me, if an animal makes a mess that’s a “drop everything and deal with this immediately” situation. I would’ve assumed that was true for everyone. But nope, guess not.
