Nah, there’s a heating and cooling ordinance in Chicago and tons of other cities with these systems. Literally zero tolerance, you lose the building and get fined out the ass if some shit like this happens even for an hour. Fines are like $1,000 per day that it happens even for a second, per person that is affected. If you have heat or air conditioner that is controlled within your apartment, same story.
