Who is worse? Frothing fascists, or the people pandering to their every whim for cynical, self serving reasons? I suppose the frothing fascists because they have an ideology, but the outcome is exactly the same.

So you think Republicans wouldn’t do progroms if they thought it would net them 0.1% more votes? They crossed every other ‘unthinkable’ line so far if they thought it would.
Slight rephrase: The outcome is the same, but will arrive slower, but also with far bigger certainty.
