Anyone watching the Matilda’s? Quite a lot of excitement from kidcalhoon1&2.

Trying to explain offside to a 10 & 7 year old is tricky. Their questions are based around, but why?

Yeah, I’ve stopped bothering with watching sport but this is good.

One thing I absolutely love about women’s soccer is the lack of diving.

If someone goes down it’s for a reason

Yeah. I love soccer. Grew up with it, played it, saw England at Wembley, saw Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires. It’s refreshing to see committed fans cheering without crossing the line.

I will say though, where is the ultra smooth slow mo… They are showing the frame by frame in the replays. I mean, c’mon, I can do ultra slowmo on my phone.

I’m not sure why the goal was called back

One of the French players (Wendie Renard) pulled a defender (I forget who) down. She was caught of course, you can’t pull that sort of shenanigans at the world cup. Too many cameras watching everything.

I’ve been watching and still am.

It’s really tense at the moment going into overtime.
