God today was stressful. Trying to train someone what you know while also doing the same work, like I don’t know if it’s the people pleaser or ADHD but I pick up things super quickly, so why can’t others???

So glad it’s Friday tbh. Physio right now and then paying for new glasses tomorrow

Edit: physio is done cost me $55, but the physio i had was cool, very chatty. My usual physio is on maternity leave, so it was weird trying to describe what I needed

Other people are not you. People learn at different rates. Maybe they have a learning disability that you don’t know about or maybe they struggle with anxiety and really slow because they are nervous. Also it’s a new job for them so it’s understandable that they have to get used to a new way of doing things. Patience and empathy are what’s required here.

I just want to preface that I am giving them time to learn and going over things again and again. Like I’m not just being like “okay here’s the thing now do it!”. It’s just super stressful because I only started in June and imposter syndrome and like having to teach someone while I’m also trying to work and I’m only part time.

It’s just, a lot.

I was supposed to teach someone “everything” today. It’s definitely not rocket science and they did a great job, despite speaking almost no English. I was just impossible to teach them much more than what they could do without training though and I’m still pretty green so yeah, it was touch and go and more stressful than usual, but the new girl showed a bunch of initiative and did a better job than I do in some respects lol. She’s so lovely and absolute kudos to my boss to for giving her a job and respecting me enough to guide her. But I get what you’re saying, it’s a lot. I was just told teach her.
