All? Lemmy.world, to me, feels like a giant AstroTurf targeting the large crowds having left from Reddit

I would prefer to avoid having to ban every individual page on each instance that gains in popularity across lemmy.

Is the only option to host one myself?

There is an app called conect that has instance blocking, also i think you can use add block to some words like lemmy.world to hide them from you

Sync has full instance filters too, although I think that’s just posts and then you can block users individually as well.
