We know. If you’re curious about hearing Marxist-Leninist analysis of it, Blackshirts and Reds has a whole chapter devoted to criticizing it and analyzing what went wrong. Despite the “tankie” stereotype, pretty much no communist thinks that the USSR was flawless, because if it was it’d still be around.
