May I introduce you to Piped, Libretube and Newpipe? There are alternatives which provide a much better experience than the panopticon of the YT website.

Have you tried FreeTube (Invidious desktop frontend), it generally works very well out of the box.

Invidious works for me, you sometimes have to change instances but it’s not too much of a hassle

Newpipe and libretube seem to work fine for me on age gated videos on mobile, and invidious also works pretty well for browser browsing. I use revanced myself most of the time, but it still has some of the vanilla YouTube bugs.

They’re all front ends for YouTube, so they have the exact same content.

E: this could even become a problem for those front ends because there’s a lot of porn on YouTube, and that can’t be age gated if there’s no login.

You could use any youtube proxy to watch age restricted content.

Yeah I hate that.

One thing I hate about web 2.0 is that you have to make an account for every little thing.

Hell, some sites won’t even let you look at them without logging in.

It’s crazy, I ahouldn’t have to log in to Reddit just to read a post from 7 years ago about trouble shooting or some shit I want a quick answer for

You could try installing greasemonkey and this script: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/423851-simple-youtube-age-restriction-bypass
