Like they’ll post that crap in the same feed as a picture of a the Statue of Liberty saying “save our democracy) or a Muslim woman in a Stars and Stripes hijab?
Like what do they think the founding fathers would be opposed to colonialism and cops?
I have, and it seems like most of those people i know at least only started doing that after the George floyd uprisings began, or at least were far more vocal with phrases like ACAB, end colonialism. This implies to me that those uprisings moved them to their positions. I think that it’s easy to scream ACAB when you have been brutalized by riot pigs, or if your friends have been, but these people, who for the most part are participating in their first it I’ve if their first real movements, have no understanding yet of how what they’re doing fits in to a broader context. For a lot of them their only exposure to leftist theory is what can be shouted in an impromptu speech at a BLM rally. That being said, I won’t write them all off as hopeless. I know some are coming along towards the left, and I have seen some I would broadly put in the above group perform acts of courage at demos. That being said, there is definitely an element of clout chasing in the whole group, and that was really reaching a fever pitch early on, though that tend I would say has cooled off somewhat. Just my observations obviously, this is not a full data set by any means
