Yep, the corporate Dems would have basically said ‘Sanders is worse than Trump’ and the networks would have done the same. I still think Sanders would have won though, CNN/MSNBC is just for boomers and a sliver of boomers. Sanders would definitely have helped down ballot races, too.
I don’t follow your login. Trump did MUCH better with ever cohort except white men. Biden drove away minorities and women, but gained in the burbs outside cities. Biden had a depressing effect down ballot.
Ballot splitting was going to have happen with Trump regardless. What didn’t happen is the kind of Dem voter base turnout expected by demographic. All those suburban Biden wins were going to go blue no matter what. Biden didn’t juice the base, at all.
I feel you, 100% there. I try to tell people that, and they just don’t want to hear it. DSA and other Bernie types absolutely are not going to radically change the Democratic party. It’s not going to happen. The Dems wanted to become what the Republican party was back in the 2000s and they got their wish.
Ya of course. Any org committed to electoralism is going to run against the buzzsaw of capital.

Not enough class consciousness exists yet for any organization to really make a difference.
The left needs to stop making excuses and start talking to their fellow man in the working class. Stop all this identity politics bullshit and build class unity. It’s the only way to get somewhere.
Yep, that hard right shift should scare everyone too. I predict that Biden’s failures is just going to pave the road for a competent fascist to arise from the GOP. They picked up enough working class and lower income voters in this election to the point, that it should scare people.
The Bernie types and DSA aren’t going to radically take over a party. To most people, they are seen as college kids just wanting “free stuff”. You’re right that it’s similar to Obama era progressives, cause they’re attacked the same way they were 12 years ago.
