I pulled out about 5 gigantic aganthus plants over the last few weeks and now I want to raize the ground so it never grows back. Of course I can’t do that, so any alternative suggestions? I plan on evening out the ground it was on (possibly with a retaining wall) and grassing it for a play area for my little one but in the team time I want to make sure it doesn’t start growing back.

Does weed killer or whatever work on that stuff?

Yes. If you can get the tap root out, it won’t grow back easily. Then spot weedkill any regrowth while its young and tender. Blood sweat & tears will be required.

I’ve never had any trouble getting rid of agapanthus. Just dig it up , if you get the crown it’s gone.

I’m hoping this will be the case. I’ll see how the land fares over the next few weeks.

Glycophosphate doesn’t work on agapanthus.
