Thoughts on the rumour that Costco Docklands is closing?
I kind of think itâs a good riddance. The inner city is ill suited for an automotive dependant single story superstore. Itâs fun when a V/Line replacement coach gets stuck in the queue of drivers wanting to turn into Costco.
In Japan you have to head well out of the way to visit Costco. The only one in Tokyo is in Hachioji. Otherwise you have to visit Yokohama, Saitama or Chiba prefecture.
supposedly Pakey is getting one, but the rumour location is terrible for access so it looks like theyâve learned nothing.
That was the original choice yes, now Iâm hearing off Koo Wee Rup Rd, south of the freeway. Which was a shitshow before the upgrades, but too early to say if the upgrades will help or not.
As a westie Iâm excited. Ardeer is closer to me, I will actually consider doing my shopping there. Car dependant store never belonged in Docklands. Although I wonder what will become of Docklands with Costco gone, it is probably the number one reason for people who donât live in Docklands to visit.
