I’d say under a communist society there wouldn’t be a need for IDPOL but since we’re absolutely nowhere near that, it seems important for marginalized people to get to say their peace without being trounced all over by cis whitey.
Like there’s a lot of reason for POC and lgbtq to want to have separate movements lol
BLM would be entirely quashed at the moment, instead of only partially, if there wasn’t a racial element that kept it seperate from the moody whims of white liberals and even leftists to a certain extent.
Fair enough. I still see it as a completely natural reaction to bigotry and it’ll require a serious movement from the left to bring people out from working under IDPOL.
I get the critique to an extent, you make sense, I just don’t think it’s the one to focus on at this particular time.
