One of the speakers on my fifteen dollar stereo keeps playing music when it’s off. Also the tape deck motor stopped working. Is there anything I can do?

If it cost you 15 dollars, a new one is probably cheaper than new parts and the tools you’d need to repair it if you don’t have them already. It sucks, because stuff should be built to last and to be repaired, but if money is an issue here, you should just buy a new one.

Of course, if this is an old model used stereo that you picked up for 15 bucks, I definitely understand why you’d want to repair it and why it would be worth more than 15 bucks to you.
