I get the cynicism here, but have none of you ever known a kid to get obsessed with some random shit? They just do that sometimes, it doesn’t mean anything.

When I was a kid I loved going to Venture (basically a target that isn’t around anymore). They had giant bags of popcorn and my mom would always buy me one. I used to climb through the clothes racks like they were a jungle. There were toys and video games and shit. Not gonna lie, I kinda get why this kid wanted a target themed party. It’s still weird that it’s a corporate logo and all that but kids probably aren’t thinking of it in a capitalist sense.

This. It’s literally “who gives a shit,” for me. Kid likes Target and/or asked for a Target themed birthday (or a Birthday party there), parents did work in bringing that to “life.” Whatever, I can’t be angry about it.
