This means that when the /r/Dankleft mods come in and moderate !Dankleft how they would /r/Dankleft, the Chapo userbase gets pissed, and that gets taken out on the mod from /r/Dankleft.
If the moderation/eventual userbase of that life boat is going to clash that hard with the existing userbase, what’s the plan for that? Just curious, I don’t want this split in preferences/tendencies/whatever to lead to problems down the line
Edit- it’s a sub with 130k members too, so being generous and saying like 5% of their userbase comes here as new, unique users thats 6500 accounts, probably should iron this out or decide to help them make their own sister lemmy
Setting up a comm is easy. Setting up a Lemmy is kinda hard.
The Dankleft userbase presumably likes (or at the least, tolerates) that sort of heavier moderation over on their meme sub. They can have that on their reserved space. Outside there, it’s all up in the air.
I understand that. It took us like what a month to set up our Lemmy? And how many users did we lose from that? So on one hand I like the comm to capture more people, on the other hand I don’t want differences in site standards to cause a rift you know? I’ll leave it to the admins I just wanted to voice a concern, and I want to prioritize user base honestly, I’m sure we can handle a few more struggle sessions
