It makes me feel like a fucking idiot every time. I never see a fucking adult trip and fall like I do, and don’t tell me it’s OK or whatever, please—I want to know if it’s normal.

It is not a “weird first conclusion to draw” when talking to a chronic drug abuser. And I say this as a fellow addict: I was not aware that neurological symptoms like that could persist post-withdrawal—even for years!

I’m posting from a place of concern and comradery, not judgment.

How do you know you’re talking to a chronic drug abuser? That’s the weird conclusion

Because I know who the person I’m talking to is, and I have a memory.

Follow-up: I said what I needed to say, addict-to-addict, and discussing it further won’t be productive. I am disengaging.

Okay, I don’t on both counts and a lot of people here may not either, so it’s maybe not appropriate to bring up if OP hasn’t
