Golden eye was good because of nostalgia. If they kept making them it would be no different then generic garbage shooter aka COD and shit.
Also between Splinter Cell(the first few were great) and MGS 2-3 do you realy need a subpar movie to game adaptation in that genre anymore?

Basically this is exactly what Goldeneye: Reloaded was. There’s also a half dozen other Bond games in between that nobody remembers because they were all pretty generic.
What we really need in the “globetrotting super spy” genre is a game with the writing of Alpha Protocol and the gameplay of Hitman. Social stealthing through exotic locales while navigating an insane plot with a ton of intricacies that can only be revealed by replaying and exploring different choices - it’s perfect.
