Unrelated, but I absolutely hate how in every west brained article about the conflict you are guaranteed to have the same “1200 deaths on oct 7” and “hamas-run health ministry” word for word no matter how irrelevant it is.

This shit reads like my essays where my teachers were grading me on the inclusion of specific key words and phrases.

Maybe if the western media outlets taught us their secret technique of recycling so efficiently, we could cut global pollution in half.

The Hamas run health ministry thing is the absolute worst. I wish for nothing but the worst for everyone involved in having those words published or aired.

“We got owned by dudes in flip flops so someone powerful must be helping them. It’s not that we are cowards.” Who will they blame when they get owned by Iran.

That’s exactly what this is. Time after time we’ve heard from journalists who blew the whistle on their publications that they have internal rules that state they have to include certain phrases and are not allowed to use others when they report on politically sensitive topics like Palestine, Ukraine, etc. You don’t get a piece like this past the editors if you don’t adhere to the rules, and the rules are handed down from the very top where the bosses usually have ties to the state department, the intelligence agencies, Zionist organizations, and so on.

Also, the book “Inventing Reality” by Michael Parenti talks about this. Although it’s fairly old, published almost 40 years ago, it’s still relevant; if anything it shows this is nothing new

Palestine

A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose “defence force”'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.
