View all comments I feel like there’s an element of it that’s basically this big mental logjam where the US both has a lot of black men as the symbol of its masculinity and white women of its femininity, but they are at the same time not allowed to be let out of specific places on the hierarchy.
Like I think even if the US was socialist this would still be the case and is a long term result of having huge amounts of violent repression on that specific type of relationship combined with the massive cultural shift afterwards. It’s this deep scar in the Ameribrain that gives people boners when they tickle it.
