Are there any good free ones? Proton does t work with p2p connections

I use free proton right now, but i’m down to kick down a couple bucks a month for a decent one.

There have been free VPNs that sell your bandwidth and also open you up to botnet attacks (see HolaVPN)

It’s really not worth it for a couple of bucks less every month imo but you do you
